When you request the free Houseplant Rescue Guide, we collect:

- your answer to "What's your biggest plant problem right now?";
- the date and time of your request and your IP address, to prevent spam and abuse.
When you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include in your message.
How we use it
- to send you the guide you requested;
- to send occasional plant care tips, if you ticked the consent box;
- to understand which topics readers need help with, so we can write useful articles;
- to reply to your messages.
We process this information on the basis of your consent. You can withdraw consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in any of our emails.
What we don't do
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We don't share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Service providers
Your information is stored with our web hosting provider. We may use an email delivery service (such as Brevo) to send our emails, and a spam protection service (such as Cloudflare Turnstile) on our forms. These providers process data only on our behalf.
Cookies and advertising measurement
We advertise this site with Google Ads. Our pages include the Google tag, which can use cookies to measure whether a visit from an ad led to a guide request. When you request the guide, a scrambled (hashed) version of your email address may be shared with Google to measure that conversion more accurately; Google cannot read your address from it. Google processes this data as described in its partner sites policy.
Visitors from the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland see advertising cookies switched off until they click "Accept". Anyone can change their choice at any time with the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page. You can also manage ad personalization at Google Ad Settings.
How long we keep it
We keep your details while you remain subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we remove your details from our mailing list within 30 days, keeping only what is needed to respect your unsubscribe request.
